Mantel clock designed by Michael Graves for Alessi in the 1980s. An American architect and a leading figure of postmodernism, Graves designed several objects for Alessi that bring the vocabulary of architecture to the scale of the home.
The case is veneered in burr maple and stands on lacquered wood columns, like a small temple. The pendulum is visible behind glass. Quartz movement. The model is held in several museum collections, including the Indianapolis Museum of Art.
Condition: very good overall, a few small cracks in the veneer, nothing serious.
