SAI sculpture in diabase and bronze by Hiroshi Koyama, 1992.
Born in Kyoto in 1955, Hiroshi Koyama trained in architecture at Akashi Technical College, then with the stone sculptor Kinzo Nishimura. He moved to Sweden in 1987 to work with diabase, a rare subvolcanic rock he often combines with bronze. His work has been shown in Kyoto, Stockholm, Copenhagen and Paris (Galerie Kouki), and in several Swedish museums.
